Terms and conditions
The rules that apply when you use WorldAfro as a buyer or as a seller.
Last updated · 21 August 2026
1. Role of WorldAfro
WorldAfro operates an online marketplace. WorldAfro is not the seller of the products listed. The sales contract is concluded directly between the buyer and the seller who lists the product. WorldAfro provides the platform, the checkout and the payment infrastructure, and acts as a payment facilitator through Stripe.
2. Accounts
- You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials confidential.
- One person or business is responsible for all activity on their account.
- Accounts used for fraud, illegal goods, counterfeit products or abuse may be suspended.
3. Buying
- Prices, product descriptions and availability are set by the seller.
- An order is confirmed once payment is successfully authorised and captured.
- Stock is reserved when the order is created and released if payment definitively fails or the checkout session expires.
4. Selling
- Sellers guarantee that they have the right to sell the products listed and that listings comply with the applicable law of the countries they ship from and to.
- Sellers are responsible for product conformity, packaging, shipping, and applicable taxes on their sales.
- WorldAfro charges a commission of 8% of the product value of each confirmed sale, deducted before transfer to the seller.
- WorldAfro may remove a listing or unpublish a store that breaches these terms or applicable law.
5. Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. By selling on WorldAfro, sellers also accept the Stripe Connected Account Agreement. Card data is handled by Stripe and never stored by WorldAfro.
6. Returns and consumer rights
The Returns page forms part of these terms. Mandatory consumer rights, including the EU right of withdrawal where applicable, are not affected by these terms.
7. Liability
WorldAfro is liable for the operation of the platform. Liability for the products themselves — conformity, safety, delivery and after-sales — lies with the seller, without prejudice to mandatory legal provisions.
8. Changes
These terms may be updated. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this page. Continued use of WorldAfro after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Site operator
